I loved it!

Long Bright River

A good book about a female police officer who is too close to her own personal situation which sometimes clouds her judgement. I liked the book, but there was no major twist in the end and I wasn't sure how all of the actions the main character took were able to actually happen. I would say 3 1/2 stars on this one.

A magical tale a bit like the Book Thief in its mystical approach to story telling. An engaging tale and characters

The Testaments

An interesting follow up to The Handmaids Tale but not as good as the original. I enjoyed reading this book but it wasn't as compelling as THT and frankly, it was a bit long for the story. But It was an interesting read and I would recommend it. Wish I could give it 3 1/2 stars instead of 3.

A book which proves there are always 2 sides to every story. I liked this book, even given the difficult topic. It was a compelling read and you really feel for one character until you hear the other side. This book should be required reading for every couple.

Great book!

American Dirt

Another book that everyone should read in order to understand what migrants will do to make it to America. What these people are facing in their home countries in order to give everything up and literally traverse the ground in the most harsh, dangerous and unfortunate conditions to make it here. And if they make it, the daily fear that they live with here of being deported and honestly, always being treated like a second class human being. This story broke my heart but it opened my eyes and I am still haunted by it. I give it 4 1/4 stars
